Market Garden

The Seed Farm market garden features trials of specialized vegetable equipment in its small and large scale vegetable production areas. Under the direction of the Farm Manager, Seed Farm apprentices receive training in managing a diversified organic vegetable farm, tractor safety, and the use of specialized vegetable production equipment. Produce grown in the market garden is sold at local farmers’ markets and to local restaurants. Through the market garden and the equipment trials in it, Seed Farm apprentices gain practical skills and experience experimenting with equipment, managing crops, and marketing produce.
