Make a Flower Crown with Florence Rodale from The Lavender Farmette.
Flower crowns are back in style, and with Mother’s Day right around the corner this workshop is the perfect opportunity to make a beautiful and personal handmade gift to brighten a loved one’s special day. They are the perfect accessories to add a whimsical, uplifting feel to any special occasion. And what a treat it is when the blooms are locally grown, chemical-free and freshly cut right out of our field!
We will provide a selection of seasonal flowers and foliage, all the supplies, and step-by-step guidance needed to make as simple or as intricate a flower crown as you wish. Each attendee will leave with a stunning headpiece and the knowledge to create their own in the future.
This workshop will take place during the Spring Plant Sale at The Seed Farm. Advance registration is required by May 10; registration limited to 15 participants.
Florence Rodale is the owner of The Lavender Farmette, a Lehigh Valley urban micro-farm where she grows chemical-free lavender, aromatic botanicals and fresh-cut flowers. She distills her aromatic harvest to create home and toiletry products with the essential oils and hydrosols collected. Her fresh blooms are sold at farmers’ markets, CSA and by order for special occasions.
