Wild Edibles Plant Walk
Cost: $25 per individual; $35 per family
May is a great time to enjoy wild edibles, and many varieties of tasty PA wild plants can be found at the Seed Farm.
Join Rob Aptaker who has led foraging workshops for over 20 years. We'll learn about salad greens, root vegetables, teas, cooked greens, and medicinals that grow wild in Pennsylvania. Topics covered will include: ethical foraging; safety (avoiding poisonous plants and contaminants) and preparation of wild foods. In addition to learning about the physical characteristics of the plants, Rob will share stories and Native American teachings about the spiritual and magical significance and powers of plants.
Bring a camera, a notebook and your questions about what's good to eat. This class is recommended for adults or children over ten years old.
This class will take place during The Seed Farm's annual Plant Sale. Registration is required by Friday, May 12.
