Join us at The Seed Farm, rain or shine, for our annual Spring Plant Sale!

 

Choose from 200+ varieties of locally grown frost and cold tolerant vegetable, herb, and flower starters. Our starter plants are non-GMO, pesticide-free, and grown without synthetic chemicals. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be on-site to provide info on how to keep your plants thriving this season!

GREENHOUSE MANAGEMENT 101

Whether you're new to greenhouse growing or looking to improve your skills, join us for an interactive workshop at The Seed Farm! Greenhouse manager Hannah White and Emma Ford of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society will share best practices for starting strong at any farm scale.

Learn strategies for temperature and humidity control, pest and disease management, proper watering techniques, and seasonal adjustments. Discover how heating tables, infrastructure, and organization systems can improve efficiency and make your greenhouse a better place to work.

INTRO TO IRRIGATION

Join us at The Seed Farm for a hands-on workshop covering irrigation for annual vegetable and flower production. Perfect for beginners or those looking to improve their system, this session focuses on setups for farms under 5 acres.

Learn how to design, install, and troubleshoot a drip irrigation system from start to finish. We’ll cover pumps, filters, pressure gauges, water sources, testing, food safety, and the pros and cons of drip vs. overhead irrigation. Plus, get insights on seasonal crop water needs and efficiency tips.

Get ready to boogie for a cause! Join us for an groovy evening of fun and philanthropy benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank, parent program of The Seed Farm. Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and disco dancing!
